Elana Goldstein, 30, of Tel Aviv, has been designing under the Sumka label since 2006. Sumka, which simply means a bag in Russian, updates classic modes and calm colors with modern tweaks. The feel is contemporary, the glance back nostalgic. Prices range from $50 to $70 for synthetic-leather bags and $80 to $180 for genuine leather bags and wallets. All are manufactured in Israel.
